OUR PHILOSOPHY

THE music industry is just that, an industry, with all the implications and intricacies that insinuates.  Unfortunately this means that getting access to the tools that make the best sounding music can be difficult if you find yourself working independently from the industry.

TIME Theft Studios is run by engineers and artists who have their own independent bands (namely the band Time Theft).  Over the last half of a decade we've undertaken to build our own studio to make our own music.  What began as a project studio for a band has transformed into an opportunity to share what we've learned and the equipment we have in ways to best help other people in a position just like our own.  We exist for the independent musician who needs professional audio production at independent budgets.

WHEN our hobby had become our passion, we asked ourselves how we could give back to the music scene and somehow earn a living in an effort to further the capabilities of Time Theft Studio for the benefit of not only ourselves but the independent scene we feel so strongly about.  This lead us to consider the idea of operating as a mastering house for artists and bands just like ourselves.

TODAY, we can offer mastering and post-production services for independent artists at a fraction of the cost of most post-production houses.  In our experience we were asked to pay as much as $2,500.00 for mastering on a single album.  Time Theft Studio understands that makes affording that level of sound quality a luxury at best for independent artists.  This severely disadvantages them when it comes to marketability.  Time Theft Studio believes in the independent music scene and the creativity therein that often times goes underappreciated.  We believe we can help close the gap between industry and independent sound quality in an effort to create a more level playing field. Besides, we know how much we love the sound of our own music when it is produced with care using professional tools and feel this experience is something that should be available to all musicians passionate about their music.

WE continue to look for new ways to upgrade our studio and offer new services custom designed for your music and the sound you are looking for.  We believe in creating working relationships between artists in a mutually beneficial way and strive to deliver outstanding results on a consistent basis.

WE also believe no job is too small, and no project too insignificant.  If it is just one track, or one part of one track, contact us about a quote.  A quote is always free, and obligates you in no way.  We can always be reached with questions at info@timetheft.com.

GIVEN our commitment to giving back to the independent music scene, we exist as an open ended production house for your audio.  At this time we cannot offer recording services, but we can offer professional quality mastering using world class signal processors

WE exist as an open ended production house for your audio.

THE diversity of the independent music scene necessitates a certain limberness on the part of an audio production studio.  Time Theft Studio embraces this challenge as opportunity.

WE'VE taken the time to break down the mystery surrounding the process of mastering in a hope to stimulate your mind creatively about your music. Take your time to read the information on the website. (First time to our site? Start with the F.A.Q. by clicking here.)

WHATEVER your budget, Time Theft Studio can help you creatively, professionally, and can even restore damaged audio signals (from clipped peaks, distortion, or deterioration).
