This is a simplified mastering package designed to do little

 more than ensure your songs maintain consistent volume

 between all tracks and prevent clipping that could be harmful

 during playback.  Includes the following::

-         Balance the audio levels between all songs

-         Check for clipping, and restore clipped peaks

-         Further Audio Scrubbing, Cleaning, Gating.

-         Limiting

-         PQ Editing (Red Book Audio Spec)

-         Dithering to CD quality audio

Package A is designed to offer only the bare minimum while still performing a few crucial steps of the pre-mastering process.  These steps are grouped together as they reinforce the consistency between tracks on a project as well as offer some crucial clipping repairing and prevention that can compensate for less than perfect recording environments.

Package B adds to package A two of the most important, detailed, and time consuming parts of pre-mastering, equalization and compression.  These two process can make or break a mix at the mastering level and therefore Time Theft Studio goes to great lengths to ensure quality and artistic integrity during compression and equalization.  Package B can help strengthen mixes and eliminate problems with professional tools whose sound the industry has thrived on for years.

PACKAGE B: ADVANCED BALANCING

This package includes everything from Package A and includes the following services as well:

-    6-Band Mastering Equalization to fine tune audio levels
-    Analog and/or Vacuum tube compression for that          professional silky smooth feel and warm tone
-    Multi-band compression to ensure clarity and dynamic range

 

This package is independent of packages A and B.  It is designed to improve the quality of your recordings in professional and innovative ways. These tools together can create huge mixes that leap out of the speakers instead of sounding far off or muted.  It offers the following:

-         Harmonic Balancing, a new visual approach to mastering that allows very specific equalization shaping.  Dramatically improves the consistency of the track on different playback systems.  Allows boomy/tinny sounding tracks to be easily identified and corrected while maintaining track loudness.

-         Stereo Imaging, including, re-centering, resizing, and rotating.  Can add stereo depth to flat mixes that add life, brilliance and clarity. 

-         Phase delay correction to correct lost transient signals inherent in amplified/live recordings.  Adds presence to vocals and guitars without making them too harsh or too loud. 

-    File Imagining / Stereo Re-creation: proprietary process of Time Theft Studio that manipulates multiple versions of your mix and blends them together to create dispirit elements that can give your music a signature sound in a unique and creative way

A few years ago, package C would have been relatively non-existent in the pre-mastering world.  These tools add life, depth, space, and clarity to your mixes that traditional equalization and compression are not designed to handle.  One of the major problems facing most independent musicians is getting that "larger than life" sound out of their mixes.  These tools, especially when used in conjunction with a professional quality compressor and limiter, can bring that "larger than life" sound to even the most sterile, lifeless digital recordings.  They can also add space and room to the most primitive analog recordings as well.  No matter what your recording environment, this package will expand your sound in ways you may not have previously thought possible.
 

When your best work requires our best work, this package includes EVERYTHING. Every tool in Time Theft Studio will be used to extract every ounce of sonic significance and tonal quality from your music. All previous packages are included in this package.  Your CD will be Red Book Spec. ready for mass duplication when you get it back!

This Package contains everything from packages A, B, and C.  Everything that you need done to your mix from final mixdown to the mastering factory.  As always, any of the options you are not interested in can be left out.
